   cheap OSB temptation

Today I bought some super-cheap 7/16 inch OSB sheets, thinking that I could use them in concert with the 3/8 inch plywood I bought yesterday to make some super-stiff roof sheathing. But this OSB seemed so stiff on its own I thought maybe I could get away with using it on its own, particularly if I used H-clips where sheets butted off-rafter. Mind you, I have a default leeriness of OSB, but in these tough economic times it's hard to resist the temptation of $6.50/sheet.
