cauliflower and baking soda Friday, July 24 2009
Yesterday I'd harvested a beautiful cabbage and a cauliflower from our garden, and today Gretchen made a tray of roasted cauliflower chunks. These were delicious, but seemed to complicate the functioning of my digestive system[REDACTED]. I kept eating baking soda to neutralize the pH in my stomach, but after a certain hour I found it best to lie in bed and read. The intertron was acting up due to nearby thunderstorms so sitting in front of my computer had become a whole lot less interesting that usual. I'm still struggling through the last tiresome pages of Zen and the Art of Motorcyle Maintenance, and there's a lot of pseudointellectual blather about ancient Greek luminaries but precious little about motorcycles.
