Like my brownhouse:
more productive uses of power tools
Sunday, October 16 2011

I was trying to further buff the surface of the scratched Navigation DVD our car had come with, but I pressed too hard and long in one place with the coarse buffer and, oopsie!, I managed to cut all the way down through the thick protective plastic to the data, forever ruining the disc. That's one way to apply brakes to your crackhead obsession. I moved on to more productive uses of power tools, using my trusty Bosch skilsaw to cut down the 48 inch bi-fold doors I recently picked up from the Door Jamb so they would fit in the odd 47 inch hole where they will eventually live. I also made some final fixes in the stairway to the upstairs so its years-old crappiness wouldn't contrast so much with the new floors up there.
Meanwhile Gretchen was over at our favorite local farm animal sanctuary acting as sous chef for a celebrity chef until she couldn't take it any more and had to come home.
