The great thing about being flown several timezones westward is that I never need an alarm clock to wake up for the work-related activities required of me. This morning I was up in the murky light of pre-dawn, took my second shower in two days, and went directly to the Starbucks. I got a soy cappuccino and a bag of salt & vinegar potato chips and then took a seat, flipped open my laptop, and proceeded to debug an issue related to differences in currencies. Periodically I'd look up from my work to notice one dog checking out another (this particular Starbucks was unexpectedly dog friendly) or a guy whose biceps appeared to be larger than his head.
