replumbed kitchen sink - I get showered with mouse droppings and fibreglass while working on that. Also, the suspiciously short life of a tank of MAP gas.
stringy asparagus stir fry - Making Chinese food on the warmest day of the season so far.
unpleasant tasks I didn't have to do - An overwhelmed Gretchen had chores for me to do that I don't exactly have the skills for.
urinal revived for the first time since '25 - One of my most useful inventions is working again.

Pat Ryan at the Golden Notebook - An event organized by Gretchen for a congressman other than her own.
old man aches after replacing one of the brakes - A first stab at getting the Subaru Forester street legal once more.
somewhat unsuccessful dogsitting experiment - The neighbor dog Henry figures out the pet door and starts walking back home.
a St. Patrick's day use for a shillelagh - It coerces a 17 mm bolt on my Subaru Forester to turn.
slightly too big - Eventually I have to file down the edges of a set of brake pads.
another bad bolt - I give up on replacing the one last brake on my Subaru Forester while Henry the Dog again spends most of the day with us.
the uncanopied sidewalks of Uptown - Things seen before and after a lunch comprised of dumplings.
Ken Jenning's start - We watch an old episode of Jeopardy!.
having neither purple nor rain - A visit to New Paltz and then seeing a movie in Kingston set in Niger.
short-lived snowflakes - Vanishing as they hit the ground while I work on a stone wall.
Neville trolls the neighbor dogs - Blithely wagging his tail and kicking dirt in their faces while they scramble around not knowing quite what to do.
pappardelle and a new British comedy - I make dinner, start reading an Andy Weir book, and get file uploads working in my ESP8266 Remote system.
activist-FOMO - Gretchen wants to get arrested to save beagles being bred for lab experiments.
maybe the omega-3s are working - Some of my recent health problems seem to be going away.
third No Kings march - Gretchen and participate with a neighbor.
doggy play date on Ohayo Mountain - Archery in the morning and then doggy socializing in the afternoon.
first tank of gas since the war - A beautiful day for eating outside, but we have dinner inside the Bear Cantina.
as long as I have a plan - Cast into a momentary funk by some troubling automotive news, I feel a lot better after ordering a set of bolt extractors.
