see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Wednesday, May 18, 1977 Very warm (~90deg.) and heavy thunder showers today, washing out our drying hay. I plante 3 VF tomatoes in the slope garden. 18 eggs today + one tat Sheba the snake probably got. We saw the saw the egg and then the snake with a bulgw. Betty rode Natchez today around 9 AM up Mueller's Mtn. Flies were bad and drove the horse into bucking. Also the rope for the horn [? was possibly a bit short so Natchez couldn't cope as well going downhill. Perhaps it would be best not to worry about bucking when coping with the sound to ride earlier in the AM 9 before flies). Tonight we all ate at the Vineyard [correct name?] to celebrate Bob's $175. 00 from Organic gardening for his article. Seems like lots of money these days, Since we haven't eaten out in a long while, it was a real treat. (edit)
