see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Wednesday, June 15, 1977 A warm and humid day. I picked 4 quarts of blackcaps this morning and froze all but one pint. I also blanched and froze 4 quarts of edible podded peas this afternoon. All peas are doing well for some time. 19 eggs today. I pulled weeds in the slope garden. Potato beetles were moderately bad there. Also, the parsnip worms returned in the creek garden so that I have few plants left. Betty was certified as an art teacher and we sold 2 doz. eggs at 60c a doz. We bought a 100 lb of laying mash for $9. 30. (edit)
