see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Thursday, June 16, 1977 Planted a 30' double row Lutz Green Leaf beets in the creek garden. Hoed potatoes in the slope garden and picked an froze 2 quarts of blackcaps. 15 eggs today. The weather is very warm and humid. The corn in the high field seems to be growing very well, as are the potatoes and cabbage in the hill patch. Green worms are very bad on the cabbage however, but there are still only a few beetle larvae on the hill patch potatoes. I also planted one hill of Sugar Baby watermelon and 2 hills of pumpkins from seeds saved from last year's Cushaws. (edit)
