Sunday, July 10, 1977

Light thundershowers this afternoon. I now have a watermelon about 3" in diameter and several small cantaloup. Also, we have been eating cauliflower several times. This appears only slightly stunted. In addition to eating hot peppers) Cayenne), there are a number of sweet peppers of half mature size. So far I still have only seen a few Japanese beetles in each garden. 12 eggs today and it rained a little.
