see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Wednesday, July 13, 1977 No significant rain yesterday and I'm back to watering. I'm getting some fair heads of cabbage but generally they are stunted due to flea beetle attack. Although I haven't watered corn, squash, pumpkins, early beets, salsify and remaining parsnips in the creek garden, they are doing well enough. Few Japanese beetles as yet and I haven't seen a single bean beetle so far. Rabbits (i think) ate a number of sweet potatoes and I fixed the fence again. 13 eggs today. I froze 2 quarts of cauliflower. Bought 100 lbs of goat feed. (edit)
