see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Wednesday, July 20, 1977 16 eggs today. The weather continues hot and today very humid. i continue to water the garden. Most vegetables (corn, melons etc.) that I used chicken manure on in the slope garden are very lush and dark green now that I'm watering. Some of the cantaloupe leaves are 8" across and very dark green and glossy. However, the sweet potatoes, which received no special treatment are also very lusdh and growing very rapidly. I now have a watermelon 6" in diameter and a cataloupe 5". Froze 2 qts. of beans. (edit)
