see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Monday, May 15, 1978 Rain and cloudy weather most of the day. Honey and Brandy are in a race to kid, with Honey slightly ahead. Gus is sleeping (watch ?) in the barn over Honey who is in the kidding pen. Gracie's kids are very husky and growing fast on their continuous milk diet since we have left them together all the time so far. The only disadvantage is that we only get a cup or so of her milk a day. 17 eggs today. Honey gave birth within a half hour to 3 kids, 2 bucks and a doe. (Chev., Von and Jennifer) All again are doing well. But we had to separate her from them during the night because she tried to pull on the navel cord, presumably to clean the kid. (edit)
