Picked the last of the Country Gentleman today and fed it to the chickens. It is a long way from hard, showing that such corn must be planted before 6-5 to get dry corn. Also, it was quite infested with earworm and the raccoons had begun to get it. Bought 100 lb bag of laying mash. I'm feeding the chickens dogwood fruits, which are very abundant on the mountain.
