Either 1) the chicken escaped the predator and hid yesterday, 2) escaped and walked back, or 3) is a ghost! However the circle of feathers on the flood plain is yet to be explained. Some of these feathers are major ones, 3" long and were pulled out with great force. Yet we see no evidence in any chicken! Peculiar thins happen in rural America.
