After several days in which the temp. went down to 10deg. Fat night, its cloudy and threatening to snow, I am again digging post holes (two this morning) for the fence around the high field. There is about 3" of frost, which does not hinder. After a high of 5 eggs the chickens are near averaging about 2/day, perhaps because of the cold. However some J. J. Warrens are now sexually mature and should start laying soon if they have not already. Bought 100 bag of laying mash.
