see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Friday, July 1, 1977 Planted Burpee's Hybrid Chinese cabbage in the creek garden, using no fertilizer in 25' row. In the creek garden I watered I watered cauliflower, peppers and the one hill of watermelons, the cabbage and the egg plant. i noted one cabbage plant in the slope garden that is badly infested with aphids, no others, including those immediately adjacent are. The flea beetles are the worst I have ever seen them on cabbage family plants and egg plant. Almost all the tomato and pepper plants look lush now and have lots of buds and some few fruits. i cut hay + mulch and applied the latter to melons in the slope garden. I also watered the latest carrots and melons in the slpe garden. 20 eggs today. (edit)
