We picked apples on Shipe's Mountain. [ Actually, this 300 ft. "mountain, " later dubbed "Pileated Peak" by Gus, because of the abundance of Pileated Woodpeckers there, really belonged to someone else!] I finished digging sweet potatoes. We also attempted to have Gracie bred by Knopp's "Derek" but failed. 12 eggs today. We bought a 100 lbs of laying mash.
