see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Friday, January 6, 1978 The J. J. Warrens we got recently are doing well but are considerably retarded in their advancement to maturity compared with those we raised last year. This is shown particularly by "George", a rooster from the same batch we got earlier and who is now far advanced (large red comb and wattles) and looks generally more mature, compared to two roosters we received with the hens, and which are the same age as George. The difference is probably due to better care, more light and feed over to forage. [?] 13 eggs today. Light snow mixed with rain this evening. Bought 100 lb corn + two 50lb bags of alfacorn. (edit)
