Brandy gave birth to a huge buck (~8 lb), "Leonardo". He seems to be very vigorous and quite nice in a Nubian way. The birth was nearly normal except that one leg was ahead of the other. The weather continues cloudy and rainy. Used (with misgivings!) a 4% malathion powder on 8-10 of the chickens with severe lice (?) problems (eaten feathers, exposed raw skin and bare heads). 19 eggs today.
