Planted a 50' x 60' patch of Sundak sunflowers in the hill field. The two varirties of asparagus beetles are now present in adult form. I developed a technique of rapidly catching them between my fingers and crushing them. 17 eggs today. I've been making lots of corn cakes from cornmeal I grind from sweet corn dried last year and hung in the smokehouse.
