The field corn is now 6 inches high and I have been hoing it. Planted 8 hills of Ambrosia Hybrid cantaloupe + 4 hills of Sugar Baby watermelon in the slope garden over holes in which about 3 shovels o WR goat manure was p[laced. The bees at present are very active on the blue flowers of the weed ground ivy (Glechoma hederacea ) present in both gardens. I also noted that this year there are no f lea beetles present in the creek garden, due perhaps to the freezing this year. 14 eggs today.
