see also: Energy in a Real World Virginians for Wilderness Forests of the Appalachians | Saturday, August 5, 1978 Froze 4 qts. of sweet corn from the slope garden after raccoons got in for first time. The Trucker's Favorite is the best looking I ever grew. Made another gallon of sour kraut to eat raw. Rain showers from beautiful cumulus clouds on and off all afternoon, alternating with brilliant sky, but humid. 7 eggs today. We dined this evening (Gus and I, Don and Betty having gone to Massachusetts on the 3rd) on raccoon damaged sweet corn from the high field. (edit)
