It has been raining but I planted a 30' band of Red-cored Chantenay carrots in the slope garden using no fertilizer but covering with horse manure compost in a thin layer as usual. The potatoes in this garden are beginning to come up. However the worms have gotten almost every one of my Salad Bowl lettuce plants! 19 eggs today.
