And the hits just keep on comin'...
Every day seems to hold more surprises with... Now what do I call her? I don't even have a word for it. "Mystery Lady" is just too, too corny. "Friend" is decidedly an understatement. Even "special friend" is not quite it. And of course, "lover" isn't entirely accurate.
Oh, what the hell. Why not just give her a name? Just for fun, I'll call her Elaine.
So where was I? Oh, yes. Every day seems to hold more surprises with Elaine. We chatted for a couple hours today, at various intervals. Even Jeannette chatted with her. They hit it off pretty well, I think, if I can judge my wife's reactions.
Today we talked about lots of things, including her dream to start an ISP where she lives. One that is intensely customer oriented. And of course, with my background, I'd be perfect to handle that kinda thing. Leads to some interesting thoughts...
I created a new award today. It's different. Not an award that you solicit to win, like my other award and so many others out there. It's an award I'm giving out on my own, only to sites I visit. Specifically, to online journals.There are, at present, a select few journals that I read regularly. These are journals that amuse me, intrigue me, make me smile... Ones that keep me coming back for more. They're also ones that are updated frequently and have been around for a little while so that I know the quality is consistently good.
I gave out five of these awards today. More to come, I'm sure. For those of you wanting to know who has received them, here are the recipients:
