Soon after arriving in Charlottesville to stay with his old friend, Ray Roebuck, Monster Boy hooked up with a goth girl named Rebecca. Their relationship later crumbled when Rebecca took pity upon the infamous "Dink Boy" after he was beaten severely in an incident at Goth Central.
When I was on the outs with Jessika in December of 1996, I became jealous of her time spent with Monster Boy. But in the end it didn't matter much; he and I became good friends in February, 1997.
Monster Boy was eventually evicted from his room in UVA's Jewish Center after a German neighbor complained about the noise. Once he was homeless, Elizabeth and I encouraged him to take up residence on the couch of the Dynashack. He ended up staying there for several months, until I myself was evicted after clashes with the skinheads.
Monster Boy had great difficulty finding employment. Finally, in the summer of 1997, he was hired by a local corporation that does telephone surveys. Later he got a full time job sterilizing equipment at the UVA Hospital.
Monster Boy has had a fairly active love life. In March, there was a famous incident where he was caught in bed with Angela. Then, in June, he had a several-week thing with Deya. The two actually lived for a time in the same tiny room on the second floor of Kappa Mutha Fucka. Then there was a several week affair with Amy Sage (Jenfariello's chum and housemate at the Brick Mansion in the 'Hood). Bracketing that Amy was a casual relationship with another Amy, this one a genuine goth, UVA student, and former employee of Little Johns.
Monster Boy is interested in 80s and goth/industrial music, extremely weird films, strange situations, and perverted manipulations of baby dolls. He is not particularly famous for his generosity.
Since a month-long stay in Philadelphia in the early Spring, Monster Boy has been referred to occasionally as "Monster Fruit" (by Jessika) and even "Monster Fag" (by Matthew Hart). These terms have their origins with Sara Poiron's peculiarly contagious punful mocking. Another example of this sort of thing is Sara's calling me "the Pus" and Matthew Hart "Snackfood."
