typical Byzantine creepiness - Tuesday January 25 2000    

It was raining lightly during on my bike ride home tonight. It was the first rain I've experienced in San Diego in many months.

The neighbor Lisa has moved across the courtyard into the apartment of Jason, the redneck surfer from Malibu. Jason is a boiler engineer on a big naval ship called the Denver which departed San Diego this week for a six month oceanic excursion. This gives Lisa six more months of life in our courtyard community. Tonight she and her beau Joel had us over for a dinner of lasagna, wine and respiratory treats.
