We played a lot of Scrabble on this trip, practically every night. Instead of keeping score under our own names, we used two of three pet French names: Pamplemousse, Un Petit Canard Rubber, and Un Petit Chou. Near the end of our vacation, Gretchen discovered that Pamplemousse was undefeated. Once this was revealed, however, the winning streak of Pamplemousse ended on the very next game.
