A tectonic fissure containing a cold mountain stream at þingvellir. According to Totil and Aður, authorities used to drown unwed pregnant women in this stream back in Iceland's not-too-distant Taliban-style past. These days, people toss in coins for good luck, giving the depths a silvery radiance.
