server repairs paired with a refreshing Friday beverage
Friday, April 28 2017 This morning Gretchen left the house early, ran some errand, and then started driving to the Watergate in Washington, DC. She would be participating in the march in support of taking precautions on the off chance the 97% of climate scientists are right and the earth is warming quickly due to increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Meanwhile, I had a somewhat meeting-heavy day that ended with a server crisis. The server was misbehaving but didn't seem to have much load. Eventually I saw something about running out of disk space in an error email that had been sent to me automatically. That was an unusually easy problem to fix once I knew what it was. Happily, for a change, my personal booze rules permitted me to drink scotch (Finlaggan affordable single malt) as I did so.
