   cold weather malaise
Tuesday, May 21 2002

setting: five miles south of Staunton, Virginia

I don't know whether it was a persistent remnant of yesterday's hangover or the unseasonably cool weather, but I found myself largely incapacitated for most of the day, suffering from headaches and mild nausea. It didn't help that progress on fixing up my mother's PC kept being thwarted by unexplained file corruption problems. Suspecting a faulty CPU, I'd ordered a replacement K6, but it had yet to arrive.
I was feeling so lousy that I had to cancel a family plan to eat out at Maharaja, the Indian restaurant on Greenville Road.
