pinecones and small pieces of wood
Friday, March 12 2010
It had been sunny and about ten degrees warmer than seasonable for nearly a week, but today clouds started piling in. I went out to collect some kindling (pinecones and small pieces of wood) so I'd have something dry with which to start fires over the next several days, which were predicted to be rainy.
While Gretchen was down in Maryland and Ray was at work between Saugerties and Woodstock, I spent the early afternoon doing some deadline-driven web development in anticipation of a meeting. It's amazing how productive I can be when I have a deadline. It's also amazing how tangential the focus of my production can be when the deadline isn't imminent. But my deadline today was 3pm, so I got a lot done.
