   happily regressed to mean
Monday, June 27 2016
A reasonably-good rain fell today, which came as a relief for the garden and the local frog population, at least one of whom had been happy to discover (or, if it was actually just Leopold II, rediscover) the kiddie pool, which Gretchen had recently refilled. It had been weeks since we'd had any precipitation at all.
Things seemed to have happily regressed to mean in my remote workplace; Da and I both joined with Ro to interview that friend of hers for the possible position of mini-me, and Da seemed to have backed down on his absurd resume requirements.
This evening Sarah the Vegan came over, though it was mostly just to hang out with Gretchen. I should mention that she had to break up with Jeremy (that actually happened weeks ago) because he was just too marginal of an adult. We still have a number of his things from back when he painted most of our first floor (a job he didn't quite complete). One of those things is an industrial fan that, though a bit loud for the task, worked wonders when Gretchen and I were trying to watch teevee in our attic teevee room on a very hot day five or six weeks ago.
